Software Engineer

Get to Know Me

I'm Gerry Jr. — I build scalable websites, custom streaming tools, and the kind of technical work most people don't attempt. Here's why I'm reaching out.

Why I Built This

This entire site — every frame, every interaction, every line of code — was built from scratch to get the attention of four people: Grizzy, Elastic Droid, Pezzy, and Puffer.

I didn't use a template. I didn't use a website builder. I wrote a 609-frame scroll-driven animation engine in TypeScript, hand-designed every section, and built a data-driven architecture that powers the whole experience from a single manifest file. This is the kind of work I do.

I built this because I genuinely watch and enjoy your content — and because I believe I can bring real value to what you're building. Not just as a fan, but as someone who can engineer the tools and platforms that take your brand further.

What I Can Build for You

Creators like DougDoug have shown what's possible when a software engineer is part of the team. He's built open-source tools that power some of the most creative content on Twitch — and everything on that list is something I can build too. Here's what I'm talking about:

Chat-Controlled Gameplay

Real-time systems that parse Twitch chat and convert messages into actual game inputs. Split chat into teams, run tournaments, let viewers play the game. Think "Twitch Plays" but custom-built for your content.

AI-Powered Stream Characters

Verbal conversation systems using GPT-4o, speech-to-text, and text-to-speech. Imagine AI characters that talk back on stream, react to what's happening, or argue with each other live.

Voice-Triggered Events

Custom voice recognition that triggers in-game events when you say certain words. Say "explosion" and the game explodes. Say a viewer's name and they get spotlighted. Endless content possibilities.

Live Stats & Dashboards

Custom websites and overlays that track stream stats, viewer engagement, donation goals, or anything else in real-time. Beautiful, on-brand, and built to scale.

Viewer-Count Challenges

Systems where the stream changes based on viewership — if viewers drop below a threshold, something happens. If they spike, something else triggers. Content that writes itself.

Custom Websites & Platforms

From fan sites to merch platforms to interactive experiences — production-grade web builds with custom design, animations, and scalable architecture. Like this site, but for your brand.

Game Randomizers & Mods

Save-state shufflers, game mods, randomizer tools — software that makes gameplay unpredictable and entertaining. Perfect for challenge content and live events.

Audience Interaction Systems

Give chat real control — voting systems, prediction markets, interactive overlays where the audience shapes what happens next. The more control chat has, the better the content.

These aren't hypotheticals. DougDoug ships tools like these as open-source Python projects — TwitchPlays, Babagaboosh, ChatGodApp, multi-agent AI systems. I can build all of that and more, custom-tailored to Clooless content.

My Experience

I'm a software engineer. I build scalable websites, write backend systems, and do deeply technical work — the kind that most junior developers aren't doing. This site is proof of that. TypeScript, Canvas API, scroll-driven animation engines, data-driven architecture — built from the ground up with no templates or frameworks.

The job market for software engineers right now is brutal, especially without a completed degree. I wasn't able to afford to finish college — but I never stopped building. Every project I ship is another piece of evidence that I can do this work at a professional level.

What I'm looking for is simple: the opportunity to get paid doing what I love. Whether it's building stream tools, maintaining websites, creating interactive experiences, or engineering whatever the team needs — I want to work. Even if it's minimum wage. Even if it's a trial period. I just want the chance to prove myself while I work toward finishing my education.

I'm not asking for charity. I'm showing you what I can do and asking for a shot.
